The Evolution of Aston Martin’s DB Series

The DBS broke the numbered naming tradition and gave it a modernized makeover with a muscle car look and the fastback tail so popular in the 1960s and 70s. The automaker originally intended to use a V8 engine, but it wasn’t ready in time, so earlier models still came with a 282bhp Straight-6. Eventually, Tadek Marek’s V8 was inserted into the car and it became known as the Aston Martin V8.
