The Biome concept, introduced at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, is Mercedes’ vision for a car that’s more grown than manufactured. A material called BioFibre is grown from different genetically engineered seeds and then harvested and molded to create the vehicle. Even crazier, the design doesn’t use fossil fuels or even have a fuel tank. Instead, it’s powered by a futuristic fuel called BioNectar4534 which is stored in the body itself and only emits oxygen.
