10 Most Unorthodox Concept Cars by Mercedes-Benz
The three-wheeled F300 Life Jet was introduced at the 1997 Frankfurt International Motor Show as a concept combining the agility and aesthetics of a motorcycle with the safety of a car. This was made possible by Active Tilt Control technology. ATC comprises a complex electronic system that calculates the tilt angle in relation to the vehicle’s speed, acceleration, steering angle and yaw behaviour, so that at all times the body angle corresponds with the actual driving situation.
The car’s body was styled after a jet and its aluminum chasis was incredibly light, weighting only 196lbs/89kg.
